Welcome to Bwindi Gorilla Batwa Empowerment Foundation

Bwindi Gorilla Batwa Empowerment Foundation is a non-profit community based organisation, established on cultural foundation that aims at improving the rights and wellbeing of the indigenous, marginalised Batwa people. It focuses on all Batwa who live in communities adjacent to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park who were forcefully evicted when Bwindi was gazetted as a national park for the conservation of mountain gorillas without compensation.
