Health

In most cases, the Batwa people are discriminated and denied access to medical health services when they visit health centres and they face extreme exclusion by some medical staff. This has led to poor standards of living since they fail to access some services like family planning programmes, immunisation programmes, hygiene and sanitation lessons among others. They lack knowledge on these programmes which make their life a living hell for them.

Therefore BGBEF has come out to help and advocate for Batwa on matters concerning their rights to healthcare, training them on how to make their own re-usable sanitary pads especially teenage Batwa girls, the importance of family planning in their families, immunisation of their children and its importance, nutrition and balance diet by training them to eat vegetables and guiding and counselling them on HIV/AIDS related issues and encourage them to ensure hygiene and sanitation in their homes.
